Refining !

Week 2

This week, I began by refining my current brainstorms and ideas, while also conducting extensive research on existing solutions related to my project's focus. I successfully developed both a primary plan and a backup plan to ensure flexibility in case I encounter challenges with Plan A.

The central idea I decided to pursue involves creating an app compatible with VR headsets. This app will allow users to download customized virtual environments tailored to address their specific traumas. Additionally, users will be able to integrate personal imagery and videos to create a more immersive and personalized therapeutic experience. Through my research, I discovered that exposure therapy is not limited to confronting personal traumas; reliving positive and memorable moments can also significantly aid in the healing process.

The image below, taken from my Miro board for Week 2, shows my findings on existing apps designed to assist with trauma recovery. It also includes a detailed outline of my methodology, serving as a constant reminder of my project's current status and future direction.

For week 2, I decided to use the "What?, So what?, Now what?", method from the reflection toolkit.

This method allows me to divide my work and thoroughly understand the steps I'm currently making.

What?

• My objective is to develop a design that facilitates clients' recovery from trauma through the use of exposure therapy.

So What?

• I aim to develop an app that seamlessly integrates with VR headsets, providing users the autonomy to download content tailored to address their specific issues.

Now What?

• I will continue conducting in-depth research to ensure the development of a flawless designed solution that effectively addresses my clients' needs and challenges.

For next week, I will be focusing more on creating the app alone as well as getting feedbacks from stakeholders.
